Review for: Front Anti-Sway Bar Kit: 1-1/4 inch Diameter Bar

I installed this sway bar on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee and works very well.The jeep leans mutch less than with the original bar.The only thing that the manufacturer should have done is to include a little longer bolt for the bar to link connection.The addco bar is also thicker at this point. |

Addco front anti-sway - 04/16/2008
Review for: Front Anti-Sway Bar Kit: 1-1/8 inch Diameter Bar
|
|||
Good product, yet Addco does not include grease for the polyurethane bushings, so they squeak like no other unless you purchase grease ahead of time and let your mechanic know to apply it to the bushings. Otherwise, you will have to have your truck lifted again and pay more. In terms of performance, however, great product. Cornering is much better. NOTE: I have a 98 Grand Cherokee 5.9L if that helps with your application |

My lovely & generous girlfreind bought me this for my birthday. I own a 1990 Probe GT & have heard this was the best suspension mod you could do to a probe, so I was excited when I opened the box!!! After installation I was completely blown away by how much my car felt like a different & BETTER handling car!!! I wasnt expecting @ all the HUGE difference it made!! My car now grabs instantly during cornering, as opposed to DIVING into corners like it used to.....bye bye body roll!!! thanks guys! & THANK YOU RHONDA!!! LOVE YA!!!! :) |

It does fit and works beter than expected! - 02/01/2008
Review for: Front Anti-Sway Bar Kit: 1 inch Diameter Bar
|

I installed this on my 88 VW FOX Wagon. The kit actually for the older Audi Fox (had one in High School). It does fit, I used the center bushings supplied as the end bushings. I had to trim them slightly with a razor blade for a better fit onto the suspensions A-arm. I had to purchased new re-greasable Polyurethane 1 inch Center bushings and drill an extra hole to mount them. I think Addco intended for me to try and reuse some of the original bushings. The factory bar was much smaller about 5/8 inch and I just couldnt stretch them over the new 1 inch bar. But by not doing this, and looking for a better alternative with the re-greasable Polyurethane 1 inch Center bushings. I think it was 5 star when done, but not an out of the box and just bolt on experience. As for Performance, it does work better than I had expected and with all new bushings there is a lot less binding, and a noticeably smoother ride! |

Addco Rear Anti-Sway Bar for 90 VW Vanagon - 01/19/2008
Review for: Rear Anti-Sway Bar Kit: 7/8 inch Diameter Bar
|
|||
Arrived as advertised. It was not in stock, but shipped and arrived exactly when Performance Center said it would. Body roll/lean is reduced without affecting ride quality under normal driving. VW should have installed these at the factory. The install is bolt on but it does require that holes be drilled into the rear subframe and rear control arm. There is a another more expensive bar on the market that does not require holes to be drilled but it hangs quite a bit lower than this bar does, so much so that I would worry about ground clearence. Overall I am very happy with the product and the service that Performance Center provided. Two thumbs up for both. |

A serious upgrade for a serious and disceplined driver. - 12/22/2007
Review for: Front Anti-Sway Bar Kit: 1-3/8 inch Diameter Bar

These stabilizer bars are a very serious upgrade. How serious? I no longer steer the car, I point it. The car handles like a laser on a rail. There is a very noticeable increase in steering response and precision. The steering is completely effortless, and the car wont budge with few exceptions. I would recommend a few things. Make sure everything else with your suspension is correct to really gain from this upgrade. Secondly, I am upgrading my seasonal directional W rated Michelins to a P255/45/ZR18 as to not inhibit the vehicles new capabilities. I currently run P225/60/ZR16 sized tires. Make sure your end links arent worn out to no end, and what you do to the front, you do to the back. If you dont want to do it that way, dont bother as its a potential safety issue. During passing scenarios, the time it takes to get around a vehicle decreases as there is that much load taken off the drive wheels as you flip the steering wheel, thus allowing for more thrust and less torque being consumed by friction due to body roll. If you want to improve the precision of the handling of your vehicle like no other, and you have the skill and/or discepline to relearn the car, this upgrade is for you. I stress relearning the vehicle as failure to do so could be potentially hazardous to you the driver or those around you. This is one upgrade that is truly something to behold when installed-I promise you that. If you want something that handles more like an open wheel racer but more forgiving than a go cart, look no further. |

Less Pitch and Roll - 11/18/2007
Review for: Rear Anti-Sway Bar Kit: 3/4 inch Diameter Bar
|
|||
The sway bar was easy to install (approximately 40 minutes) including removing the factory sway bar. My jeep has been lifted prior to the installation of the Addco sway bar. There is noticebly less lean and roll in tight turns. I plan on purchasing and installing the front Addco sway bar soon for the full effect. |
