Alternators

I have a 91 Ford Ranger with a 2.9L V-6. Ive added a lot of after market accessories that suck up a lot of amps. The factory alternator could not handle the load. Time for a Power Master Upgrade. Unfortunately, Power Master does not make an alternator for my vehicle. However, they do make one for the 1990 Ford Bronco II with my engine. So I figure thats close enough, right? Wrong, the wiring and the mounting are completely different-go figure. Happily, my mechanic had no trouble spicing the wires and fabricating a simple adapter. Everything works great. Now the volt meter stays rock steady no mater how many electrical accessories Im running. Two thumbs up.

You sent a 5 foot, 6 gauge Charge wire instead of a 5 foot, 4 gauge Charge wire. Though not installed yet, under my circumstances it should work anyway. I am satisfied that this product is of the best quality.

I am extremely satisfied that it was the best decision for a replacement of the OEM, originally installed in 1991, 90 AMP unit. I ordered this alternator in hopes that it would fix the problem I was having with my truck. Although this was not the case, I am hoping and expecting it to be a great alternator as it has to keep my battery charged very well with the Mondo System in the truck. I still give it a 4 because it is a nice black color and I like black >:D

The factory alternator couldn't handle the draw my truck needed. I put this alternator on and at idle it had plenty of juice to spare. Highly reccomended.

my stock alternator was 75 amps ford could only upgrade it to 95 but with 6 dvd screens 2 dvd players and 4 amps with 6000 watts total amp output and a 3000 watt inverter it wasnt enough in a crew cab dually to run the truck let alone the extras even with everything off lights would dim at idle with just a.c on full and headlights on. Now i can run everything plus 2 25amp heaters in the cold and still get 13.8 volts running down the road! THANKS power master for one fantastic alternator! not only does it give u 155 amps not 140 but even runs extras i didnt have before! and i even used the asp pulleys that slowed it more then normal!!! (which are great too)
