Bilstein HD Shocks for Honda Accord - 06/26/2008
Review for: Rear Sport Setting Monotube Gas Shock
These Bilstein shocks are hands down the best shock Ive ever run! I would say that if someone wants a performance shock they can install and forget about, these are probably the best shocks made - hands down. The Bilstein HDs give amazingly controlled ride and predictable handling. They slow body role to the point youd swear you also installed larger sway bars. I dont think theres a better handling improvement for the dollar out there. That said, they arent perfect. The Bilsteins are by no means harsh, but they really increase road feel - something sought after by most performance enthusiasts, but not for everybody. The shock really plant the car, and give it very solid, predictable handling, but they almost plant the rear of the car too much. I would definitely add a larger rear sway bar along with these shocks for absolutely unbelievable handling. For those who arent (or cant) running an aftermarket rear bar, understand the may understeer a little more at the limit of the tires, but the Bilsteins are still well worth it. Also understand youll reach the limits of your tires faster, for two reasons. First, youll have the confidence and improved handling to drive harder and push the tires harder - this is the shocks performing! Second, as the shocks resist body roll (also a good thing) theyll naturally load the tires more. In a nutshell, these Bilsteins will have you wanting more tire to match the shocks. In summary, these Bilsteins are the single biggest performance increase done to my Accord, and they have vastly improved my confidence in the car and hence my ability to take it to the limit. I would recommend these Bilsteins to anyone who wants a safer, better handling, faster car. (1992 Honda Accord racing SCCA Street Tire HS) |

OEM Bilstein Replacement shocks - 06/05/2008
Review for: Front Heavy Duty Shock
I have replaced my shocks that had 62,800 miles on them with new OEM Bilstein replacements for the front and rear and after installing them and taking the truck out on the road, what an excellent ride. These Bilstein shocks are great and highly recommend them to all. I probably could have gone to around 100,000 miles with my old ones, but decided to buy new and get them out of the way and I am glad I did. |

Review for: Left Front Touring Class Original Equipment Replacement Shock

New struts made the car fun to drive again. They also made the car more predictable. I gave them 4 stars only because the rear struts never came in from bilstein. I ended up going with KYB for the rear. |

Great Shocks - 05/16/2008
Review for: Rear Heavy Duty Shock
These shocks are worth the 5 star rating. Im just now replacing them at 100,000 miles with another pair of the same. The only minor complaint I can put in here is they dont have the smoothest ride over bumps when the temperature is extremely cold -20 degrees camping trips showed this. Overall a great shock |
