Review for: Rear Exit Cat-Back System With Round Angle Cut Phantom Tip
This is a great product, vehicle: 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 4.7 other additions: K&N cold air intake, throtle body spacer. sound: just what I expected, low roar, not to loud. It does have a tendency to resonate around 2200-2300 rpm, but its not a huge deal. power: I did not see much improvement in power, just a little more kick (mostly torque). MPG: I have not noticed any significant change, prior I got 16.9, now im getting 16.8, but it could be because I get on it more. looks: from the outside it looks great. assembly: I put it on in the driveway using two jack stands, a hack saw, a hammer, a screw driver and a socket wrench. The hardest part is getting the old one off (for me about 3 hours). The new borla went on in 15 min. arrival: due to borlas move and progress being backed up I waited over 3 months for this exhaust, I was given several false arrival dates, needless to say I was not to happy about the service. |

Review for: Split Rear Side Exit Cat-Back System With Single Rolled Slash Cut Tips
Though only installed a few days ago I like the looks and sound of the exhaust. My only concern is the left tailpipe is only about 1/2 inch from the spare tire. I dont know if the heat could damage the tire over a long period of time. I tried several times to re-position the pipe but could not increase the clearance between the pipe and tire. |

Review for: Rear Exit Cat-Back System With Square Angle Cut Intercooled Tip
I had to replace my exhaust from exhaust pipe to tail pipe. Cat back connected right up to cat. It took an hour to dry fit and install. With new hanger insulators the system is solid and sounds great. |

Great sound and better acceleration. - 07/09/2008
Review for: Side Exit Cat-Back System With Dual Round Angle Cut Phantom Tips
This cat back system was very easy to install. Took me about fourty minutes(With no lift) Had a gibson that rusted after about 50,000 miles. Decided to up-grade to the Borla (1,000,000 mile warranty)The truck has a great sound and much better responce. Also getting a little better MPG. I have a 1998 F150 with 5.4 Triton. K&N cold air intake. Powerade TB spacer and high flow cats. Heard that cat back system will get loader as it breaks in - Ill have to wait and see. I have 190,000 miles and the truck runs great. |

WELL DONE - 07/03/2008
Review for: Rear Exit Cat-Back System With Dual Round Oval Angle-Cut Tips
OUT OF THE BOX, A VERY NICE PIECE. EXCELLENT MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP. DIRECTIONS ON LINE AND AS SHIPPED IN THE BOX DID NOT INDICATE (WHEN REMOVING THE OLD MUFFLER)THE FOUR BOLTS ON THE END OF TRANSMISSION AND/OR THE TWO HANGERS ON TOP OF THE MUFFLER ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH WITHOUT A LOT OF JACKING AROUND. INSTALLATION OF THE BORLA WENT SMOOTHLY EXCEPT ONE BOLT HOLE ON TRANSMISSION BRACKET WAS OFF AND HAD TO BE REAMED SLIGHTLY. ON STARTING FOR FIRST TIME, NICE SOUND AT IDLE. VERY NICE UNDER ACCELERATION. MID RANGE TORQUE HAS IMPROVED. PRONOUNCED DRONE BETWEEN 2400 & 2800 RPM UNDER LOAD WITH TOP UP. ALL IS GOOD WITH TOP DOWN. ALL CONSIDERED, I WOULD GIVE THIS UNIT 4 1/2 STARS. |

Not what I ordered. - 06/30/2008
Review for: Stainless Steel Header
I ordered this with the expectation that it would match the picture and description on the site, unfortunately it required cutting into the exhaust system and relocating my O2 sensor. I dont have the capabilities for exhaust work and would rather not pay someone when Borla offers the bolt on version of this header.
Im returning only because it required changing my factory exhaust set-up. Otherwise shipping was speedy and the other products I ordered were exactly what I expected. Will continue to shop here. Thanks// |

Review for: Borla Split-Rear Dual 5 Inch Tips Cat-Back System
I love this exhaust system....First of all Performance center had it to me in just a few short days and I was able to put it on with great ease... Sounds awesome and you could certainly feel the horsepower gains....The only problem I had was that the drivers side rear tip was lower that the passenger side. No matter what I did to adjust it, it was still about an inch lower. To remedy this I took a stainless steel hose clamp and wrapped it around the rear rubber hanger and tightened it about 10 cranks. It worked perfectly... |
