gibson exaust install
Review for: Cat-Back Single Exhaust System, Aluminized Steel, 3 Inch Tubing, Exit Behind Rear Tire, 3.5 Inch Polished Slash Cut Tip

this exaust was easy to install using hand tools. the instructions were very easy to follow. the one thing I would like to see fixed would be the way the adaptor pipe attachs to the old exaust. the way it hooks up now is it goes inside the old pipe and it would be much easier if it fit over the outside of the pipe. this would make installing the system much easier. the looks and performance is better than the oem exaust. I installed this on my 2004 f-150 fx4. along with a k&n cold air intake system Im getting 21 mpg at 70 mph, up from 17 mpg. I would recomond this exaust to anyone. |

Hated putting it on...loved it when it was done

Great quality on all the parts. The kit contained everything necessary. Except it came up 20 inches short!!! After nearly breaking my hand getting this thing put on, something was wrong. Long story short, had to go out and get 3 inch exhaust tubing to fix the problem. What a pain in the-you get the idea. This exhaust replaced the Flowmaster race truck exhaust, which rotted after 2 years!!! This is not an aggressive sounding exhaust, hollow little rumble at idle, no interior drone. But put the pedal down and youre going to hear it. I dont like the look of straight out the back exhausts. This is a distinctive looking and sounding system. I love the finished product sound, quality, and the looks that people give it. Just wish Gibson had remembered to include one of their stickers!!! |

Gibson SS Cat-back Exhuaust-1991 Ford Ranger 2.9L V-6
Review for: Cat-Back Single Exhaust System, 2.5 Inch Single Kit, Stainless Steel, 2.5 Inch Tubing, Exit Behind Rear Tire, 3 Inch Polished Slash Cut Tip

When I bought my truck (used), the first upgrade I wanted was a stainless steel exhaust. I was tired of replacing rusted out exhaust systems every 2 or 3 years at $300 a pop. For a little more money I could put in a stainless steel system and forget about it. That was 8 years ago and it is still going strong. Added to that I gained about 10 more horses and a noticeable improvement in acceleration. Recommended. |

Quiet tone at idle but louder at speed. Somewhat annoying over long distances. Relatively easy yo install if you do not have issues with removing old system. Fits correctly and is a good quality unit. |

THE EXHAUST IS A GOOD PRODUCT. INSTALLATION WAS EASY TO INSTALL. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE TIME TO RECIEVE THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. IT WAS ON BACK ORDER. OTHER THAN THAT I AM PLEASED WITH IT... |

Quality was great, installation was a piece of cake, the exhaust note is nice and deep on take off but when you get up to speed its like stock, can barely hear it. Seemed like it gave the truck a little more snap down low. |

I recently purchased this product for my 2006 Dodge Dakota quad cab. This is a very inexpensive product, very good for the money and nice sound. No noticeable gains in horsepower or torque yet, still breaking in the exhaust. Just had it installed professionally yesterday but loved the drive on the way home. Definitely adds a nice look to the back of the cab. I Would recommend this product to anyone looking for an inexpensive exhaust that sounds great. Not to overbearing and gives a nice mellow sound at idle speeds. |

The installation went very well. Instructions very good. All parts fit up well,as they should. This is my second system on this van. The first one faied at the end of the muffler.I didnt, but I would encourage anyone buying a syetem to buy the stainless steel unit, if they are going to keep the vehicle for more than 3 years. |
