K&N Generation II Fuel Injection Performance Kit (FIPK)

This is my fifth fipk air intake from K&N. Like the rest I purchased I am impressed and happy with the installation, fit, and performance of this product. The FIPK brings my MPGs up about a gallon and a half, which will pay for itself in about one year with my mileage. Then you have the other benefits your engine runs more efficiantly which prolonges the life of the engine, the extra low end power when you need it with an athoritive graunt when you push it. The truck just feels healthy with it in, no more silly OEM, no noise snorkel. Again the sound of intake air is only apparent when you hit it. The only unexpected was the install taking more then a hour, but that is the case with the 04 f150 engine in many aspects.

The pricing, ordering, shipping, instructions, installation, and results were awesome!! I highly recommend both performancecenter.com and K&N products for anyone. Ive always ran K&N products and my vehicles and never plan to change and now I know were to look first when purchasing. I also purchased an AirRaid throttle body spacer, and Addco front and rear sway bars from these guys. I have a 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ 4.7HO and man, the performace from all of these products combined is awesome. Its a whole new animal. Custom exhaust goes in tomorrow, lift and tires soon to come.

Strong throttle response! Doesnt help on fuel millage, but what do expect for an 496ci big block 8.1 engine! I would recommend this product to anyone who wants power. Thanks for this great product!

this was a great intake for my truck i can feel the horsepower since i have put it on. after you put it on drive it around for a little while and retighten the srews they might shack loss.

I had a FIPK on a 2000 Sonoma and was very pleased. I recently put it on the ranger and could not be happier. I noticed u huge power gain and a sweet turbo like sound. I plan to pair it with magnaflow high flow cat w/ gibson side swept exhaust. Maybe some plug wires and good plugs. K&N started cold air, no reason to steer from best. Will only buy K&N in any vehicle i own.

Great intake! Louder! More power! Love it!

I received the intake about two weeks ago. The installation was pretty straight-forward, although the pictures on the instructions were just a little too dark (color photos would be a nice touch). Otherwise everything fit nicely and works well. There is a noticeable difference in the sound that the motor makes. I can hear it breathing more freely. The throttle tip-in is also crisper and quicker.

The shipping time took about one week to get to Hawaii. It took a little longer then expected to install, because I had to cut out the 1 1/8 hole for adapter. It was pretty easy to install but you had to have the right tools. The horse power is noticable and the sound is much louder. You mostly hear it around two grand and when you stomp the throttle. It also gives the truck a more rugged look under the hood. If you want one get it is worth it. From performance center I saved about two hundred dollars compared to going to the local dealers. All I want to do now is get an exhaust!

I have a mustang GT 2004. this K&N FIPK air intake I ordered does everything it said it would do. More power alot better responce at all RPM. Sounds good looks good to. The only problem is it didnt fit very good. The small outlet tube is to close to the oil filler cap and you have to push back on the rubber hose to be able to open the filler cap. The other problem I had was you could not take the K&N filter off to clean or re oil it. Because there is a square piece of metal on the car sticking out with aground wire on it. So I had to cut it off my car and reroute the ground wire so I could remove the filter with out half removing the air intake tube. Now it comes right off no problem. As long as K&N been around they should have designed it to fit!! with out cutting pieces off my car and using two hands to open the oil filler cap.So I would not call this a custom fit to the car like K&N claims. But after all of that I still love it and it kicks butt.
