K&N Offroad Aircharger Air Intake Kit

I bought this intake system for my 08 Dodge Caliber R/T and I love it! It really made a difference in the performance. It is some what hard to install because of where the throttle body is on the car but other than that no big deal. If you still have your stock exhaust on it sounds a lot different but i switched the exhaust to a borla cat-back system and between both products huge difference.

It took longer than the directions originally said it would take to install the part.

Perfomance Center helped make my purchese a NO BRAINER with a great price. I have used both AEM and K&N air chargers in past vehicles,I chose K&N for my current application a Chry. 300 3.5 V6. The complete install From start to finish was 45min. with simple tools in my driveway late one afternoon after work. The end result ZOOM! ZOOM! ZOOM!

This air filter makes my car run so much smoother. It also has boosted my horsepower and helped my gain 7 extra mpg.

Installation went without difficulty. No major complaints other than I would like to see a re-design of the single support brace. I generally purchase high quality items for all my vehicles and this brace design seems to be a little on the weak side. Basically just enough to orient the fresh air tube. I made this purchase basically for fuel mileage. Since the addition of the Aircharger, Magnaflow muffler, Stage 1 Jet Chip, Jet mass airflow sensor and conversion to full synthetic Amsoil in the engine and transmission - I appear to have gained 1 mile to the gallon in the city and 2.5 miles to the gallon on the highway. Just started monitoring the mileage. Looks fine so far. I believe the Aircharger definitely helped with fuel mileage and performance.

This is a good product. The installation instructions are poor. You cant read them and the photo copy of them is too lite. The installation took me about 90 min. I dont like the flimsy bracket that holds the intake tube,it should be stronger. Also there should be a rubber seal between the heat shield and the filter. Overall it seems that performance has been improved.

I just installed this system on my 08 Taco 4x4 4.0L. It took about 90 minutes only because I didnt pay attention to the parts list on the front and swapped a couple clamps. That was the only hitch. Pay attention to the blow up drawing and you wont have any problems. I just test drove it and found that the power increase was noticable, as was the sound under the hood. Very good product, 3rd one Ive installed on different vehicles. K&N does a fantastic job making the parts line up properly. Highly recommended for any application.

I would like to thank Performance Center for giving me the price that I was looking for and the deliverablity that I was looking for. The gain in the 2006 Chevrolet Duramax was tremendous and could feel the difference. We also put a MBRP Dual exhaust on are pickup at the same time and I think that helped alittle with power.
