The Edelbrock a Ti-tech coated headers were a good buy my gas mileage went up about 6 to 7 MPG on a trip i recently took. The performance is pretty good but then again my h pipe exhaust set-up and K&N intake, Granitelli mass air flow also help out alot along with the headers.....

This is an optional purchase with Edelbrock headers, but it was not required for my '02 5.3l install. The headers come with everything you need. This item is used as a flange gasket between the header and cat (Y) pipe. The 5.3l uses 1 on the right side only. The 6.l doesn't use any (uses crush washers). If you do need to replace the flange gaskets, these look really well made (smooth, nice finish, look like soft enough metal to make good seal).
