I installed this in my 1995 chevrolet which has the 5.7 liter engine. Chip was very easy to install.I have noticed some horsepower gain.I also installed a 160 degree thermostate and started using premium fuel. The lower octane fuel was making motor ping.All in all I think it was a good buy.I would recommend this chip to anyone trying to get a little more horsepower.

The chip defineatly delivers better performance, less down shifting, better acceleration and the truck doesnt bog down when you stomp on the gas. I can run 87 octane and it doesnt ping and there is also no check engine light comming on. It compliments the exhaust and intake very well.

Hypertechs Thermo Master Chip works just as it says. The overall performance and driveability of the truck is much better. Both the engine and transmission run smoother and stronger. Installation took about 10 minutes. I also installed the recommended Hypertech PowerStat 160 degree thermostat. The PowerStat also improved performance and keeps the truck running at least 40-50 degrees cooler. The installation of the PowerStat was also very easy, took about a half-hour. I highly recommend both products.

I would like to thank Performance Center for their excellent service as well as price. The up front shipping costs were also a plus.
I ordered the Hypertech Chip on Wednesday and it was at my door on Friday. I consider that GREAT. Performance Center also saved me about 25% over the Corvette guys.
I cant say much about the Chip until I finish putting the rest of the motor back together. We did install it and it was quite simple.

it works u can tell as soon as u crank but thats where the problem for me was it fried my old computer but for about 80 bucks i got a new 1 so since it took a little over 200 bucks to get anything out of this chip i gave it a 4 out of 5 but i am deffinitely happy with it

I installed the Hypertech Thermomaster Chip with 160 Thermostat about 6 years ago. I notice a quicker acceleration right off. I also included a K&N filter and Borla exhaust (slight mod from 95 S-10). I saw a difference in torque, acceleration and better gas mileage. The last thing I had installed where underdrive pulleys which dramatically increased my acceleration with the above installed products. Premium gas needed for the Thermomaster Chip!
