K&N 57-2556 FIPK Cold Air Intake Fuel Injection Perfomance Kit

This kit installed in a workman like manner. I was impressed with the level of detail, and that options relating to the subtle differences between manufacturers runs were taken into account. I am very satisfied with the fit, finish, and ease of install. Took me about 90 minutes - I am an average mechanic. It obviously lets the engine breathe better - will wait to see how much better the fuel economy is.

This is my fifth fipk air intake from K&N. Like the rest I purchased I am impressed and happy with the installation, fit, and performance of this product. The FIPK brings my MPGs up about a gallon and a half, which will pay for itself in about one year with my mileage. Then you have the other benefits your engine runs more efficiantly which prolonges the life of the engine, the extra low end power when you need it with an athoritive graunt when you push it. The truck just feels healthy with it in, no more silly OEM, no noise snorkel. Again the sound of intake air is only apparent when you hit it. The only unexpected was the install taking more then a hour, but that is the case with the 04 f150 engine in many aspects.

I recently found an incredible deal on a 2004 F150 5.4L Triton with only 26K miles on it. The truck is pristine and I was thrilled with every aspect of it except for the sluggish throttle response. (the stock intake set-up is a nightmare) Living at 6700 ft above sea level with operating ranges between 6,000 to over 11,000 ft above sea level, this kind of performance would not be acceptable. I installed the K&N FI Intake in less than 40 leisurely minutes. Instructions were fairly clear though the photos could have been better. Everything fit perfectly. The result was amazing. Output at all segments of the powerband increased dramatically. During a recent trip along I-70 to Moab and back hauling a 1,000lb trailer with over 1/2 a ton of dirt bikes and gear in it, the increased power was even more apparent. However; I am most pleased with the improvement in fuel efficiency. After 600 miles with the new intake on, I am getting a stunning 2.5 miles more per gallon! If you own a vehicle with this motor, get this intake.

Install instructions were a bit blury; however, K&N website provides the same online documentation that is a little easier to read. Overall very straight forward to install.

The pickup and performance gain is noticable. So far worth the investment.

This is great air intake system! It was easy to install and fits very well. Will give noticable performance gains, especially in low end torque. Added with a quality cat-back exhaust system, it really wakes up the 5.4 liter engine. Dont hesitate to purchase this system.

I own a 2004 Ford F-150 supercrew 4x4 with a 5.4L triton, 6lift and flowmaster exhaust. The K&N was a great buy it dramatically changed the exhaust tone at higher RPMs and improved the throttle response! You can feel the power! Strongly Recommend it!!

Great product! Went from the box into the truck in about an hour and a half. Great instructions, easy to install. No difference in gas mileage, but more responsive. I think it is quieter than the stock intake. Overall very happy with the product.

Great product!! The most noticable difference is the sound! Its easy to install with simple hand tools! It definately makes a difference in your accelaration! I also have a custom dual exhaust system and a superchips programmer. I love all 3 but I think this was the best investment yet. You wont go wrong buying this product!!

The installation was as easy!! You get rid of all that extra stock crap you dont need. It really cleans the engine up nice!! It gives the sound of a beast under the hood, and seems to accelerate a lot faster. I also have a cat back Banks Monster exhaust system which really sounds NICCCE!!! great combo must have!!
