Edelbrock 65103 Ti-Tech Coated Shorty Header

I love the proformace. I have Flowmasters 30 Series duels on the Truck with 3 inch Exhaust. Coming from stock crossovers. The horse power has increased out of the hood. Thank you for these very fine shorty Headers. P.S. I will be ordering more produces later. I have a 1971 chevy Hot rod with 625 Horse power under the hood. Thank you again.... Douglas 09/25/2007

they sound good and you can tell a big difference in performance.

I bought these shorty headers for my 1998 Silverado C/K 1500. The truck has the 5.7L Vortec engine. I pull a 5th wheel and was looking for a set of headers that would increase torque, HP, and hopefully tweak the gas mileage. I chose these headers because I wanted to retain my stock crossover pipes and these headers were designed to bolt-up without any modifications. The total removal and installation time took me 3.5 hours. Removal of the stock cast iron exhaust headers was easy. I didn't even need to remove the sparkplugs. The old headers could be removed from the top and I was able to drop the new Edelbrock shorty headers back into place. The fit and alignment of these headers is perfect. Edelebrock includes everything you will need to do the job except the tools and the sweat. If I were to add one recommendation I would suggest that Edelbrock design the header outlets with threaded studs instead of with bolts. It was a little difficult to start the nuts on the bolts without an extra set of hands. I matched-up these headers with the PACESETTER Side Exit 2� Inch Aluminized Steel Kat-Back Exhaust System. The headers look and sound great, and matched up with the Kat-Back exhaust it has a throaty sound like a big block. For extra heat protection I bought a set of insulated sleeves for my sparkplug wires and boots.

The headers fit very well, and were easy to install. There was a definite increase in power. Nice power gain for the money.
