KC Hilites 6-Inch Round H.I.D. Fog Light System

KC Hilites 6-Inch Round H.I.D. Fog Light System
Product List Loading:  wait
KC Lights are designed to supplement your vehicles high beam headlights. Their candlepower, which is approximately twice that of your headlights, coupled with their beam patterns, produces a light pattern that reaches further than high beam headlights and gives added width to help see things that are near the roadway such as children or animals. The use of auxiliary driving lights greatly reduces the risk of animal strikes which are frequent in rural areas. Installation is quick and easy with a KC pre-terminated wiring harness (included in pair packs). The harness includes a heavy duty relay along with an illuminated switch and is ready to plug into the lights leaving a professionally installed, factory appearance. 26 Series Lights (2x6-Inch Rectangular), 35 Series Lights (3x5-Inch Rectangular), 50 Series Lights (5-Inch Round), 57 Series Lights (5x7-Inch Rectangular), 60 Series Lights (6-Inch Round), 69 Series Lights (6x9-Inch Rectangular), Backup Flood Lights (2x6-Inch Rectangular), Daylighters (6-Inch Round), Harley & Rally Hid Lights, Hid Lights, Slimlites (6-Inch Round).
KC HID (High Intensity Discharge) Lights are the result of KC's role as the leader in product development since the early 1990s. Built on the same Metal Halide lighting concept used to illuminate giant sports complexes, KC HIDs turn night into day, producing light output more than four times the amount of any other lights. The benefits are tremendous - whiter light, reduced amp draw, higher effeciency, and much longer life. this makes driving at night easier, safer, better, and if you're racing much faster.

KC's rugged solid state HID components (ballast and starter) will withstand the most severe conditions. They perform many tasks to maintain the correct conditions for the lamps to operate at optimum output. KC's ballasts have been designed to function at voltages ranging from 9V to 16V for automotive as well as commercial and industrial applictions. 24V and 105V systems are also available for aviation and railroad applications. KC HID lights come in both 6-inch and 5-inch round styles. The 6-inch shock mounted Daylighter style housings feature a choice of gleaming Stainless Steel or Black Powder Coated finish. The 5-inch housings are available in Chrome or Black Chrome finishes. As with all KC products, KC HID Lighting Systems are covered by their famous 23-year warranty. This means any failure including the very expensive HID bulb.

This light system includes: 2 HID Lights, 2 Ballasts with plug-in terminals, fully assembled, pre-terminated wiring harness with weather proof plug connectors for a long service life and easy installation, In-dash or under dash mount switch, and 2 KC HID light covers.

Review for: 6-Inch Round H.I.D. Fog Light System With Black Housing - Pair Pack

I am extremely satisfied with these lights. All the components are high-quality and were well packaged. The installation is not difficult, although it does take the better part of a day to do it right. By right, I mean taking the time to wire tie all the wires neatly out of site. I also recommend using the Taylor convoluted tubing which is available on this site. The stuff at the hardware store isn't as nice. The ballasts are smaller than I thought and that makes it easier to mount. The wires are all pre-terminated, but if you might want to cut them shorter to save clutter. Just make sure you make good connections when attaching and splicing wires so there are no shorts. As for operation of the lights, the HID fogs are not the best for fog because they are so bright. But that is OK because I didn't get them for fog. I am running them in conjuction with the KC Long Range HIDs. The Fogs give the widest beam to light up the front and sides of the road. Then the stock headlights and long range lights work to light up the front. If I only had one pair, I'd go with the HID Driving lights which are in-between the fog and long range lights. Now I've got to pick out some new light covers as the white/blue covers that come with the lights clash my all black Ford 4x4 E-350 Van. (No it doesn't have a red A-team stripe!)
