K&N Cold Air Intake

I originally purchased this product to improve my gas mileage. I would say it was a good choice, 2.5 to 3 mpg on the highway and 1.5 to 2 city. I think the intake will pay for itself in short order. Performance is also impressive, quicker acceleration, excellent sound. You certainly know its under the hood. Very easy to install, 1/2 to 3/4 hour tops.

This is my fifth fipk air intake from K&N. Like the rest I purchased I am impressed and happy with the installation, fit, and performance of this product. The FIPK brings my MPGs up about a gallon and a half, which will pay for itself in about one year with my mileage. Then you have the other benefits your engine runs more efficiantly which prolonges the life of the engine, the extra low end power when you need it with an athoritive graunt when you push it. The truck just feels healthy with it in, no more silly OEM, no noise snorkel. Again the sound of intake air is only apparent when you hit it. The only unexpected was the install taking more then a hour, but that is the case with the 04 f150 engine in many aspects.

The pricing, ordering, shipping, instructions, installation, and results were awesome!! I highly recommend both performancecenter.com and K&N products for anyone. Ive always ran K&N products and my vehicles and never plan to change and now I know were to look first when purchasing. I also purchased an AirRaid throttle body spacer, and Addco front and rear sway bars from these guys. I have a 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ 4.7HO and man, the performace from all of these products combined is awesome. Its a whole new animal. Custom exhaust goes in tomorrow, lift and tires soon to come.

Strong throttle response! Doesnt help on fuel millage, but what do expect for an 496ci big block 8.1 engine! I would recommend this product to anyone who wants power. Thanks for this great product!

this was a great intake for my truck i can feel the horsepower since i have put it on. after you put it on drive it around for a little while and retighten the srews they might shack loss.

It took longer to read the instructions than it took to install it, simple and fast. Runs great, more horse power and tork, well worth the money.

It was very easy to install, and the directions were simple to follow. My truck sounds great.

It was just a matter of taking one off and setting this one on. I had bought a previous type; when the K&N was intalled the difference was noticed instantly going up hill before it had to shift to 2nd gear now it just runs up hill on 3rd gear @78mph. I downloaded the intructions from the website before I received it so I had plenty of instructions for the installation.

The intake installed fairly easy, and the throttle response is good. As far as horse power Im not so sure on how much it changed. My gas mileage did rise from 17 to 22 mpg, and 20 mpg highway. The only difficulty I had with the install was the padding/rubber piece that fits around the edge of the heat shield that sits against the hood. Very tight fit and wouldnt sit correctly. Ive also been adjusting trying to find the vibration/rattle on the intake when starting the engine, it may cause damage at some time just from constant rubbing against something. Over all very happy with the product although I would like to see the price come down.

This product looks great installed on my F 150. It increased my milage by about 2 miles per gallon was very easy to install about 30 minutes. The only bad thing ws it took about 3 weeks to get it I guess it was on back order but I think the wait was worth it. I noticed the difference the moment I started my truck for the first time. I belive I get better performance as fas as tourque through the whole complete power band.
