Nice light bar - 12/14/2007

This KC light bar showed up and just looked great. Great welds and looks. I bouhgt the black and it has a Flat black color that has a semi wrinkled finish. Fit was perfect and easy instructions for the Ford 250SD. I should have bought this last year when I saw it on line. I bought the KC Rally 800s (8 inch) 130w Ice blues. Just too bad that this site does not sell the Rally 800s. This bolted right up with minimal tools. Just a little pricey for what you get. Very sturdy also. |

The Carr light bar is about the nicest looking light bar around. With the cast aluminum feet the item is a lot lighter than it looks but just as durable. The only problems that I had during installation was the cutting of the light bar at each end and the keyed bolt to prevent theft. The feet need to be mounted and the distance between measured, two inches added to each side and that is the length. Now you have to subtract that length from the overall of the bar, divide by two and cut that ammount off of each end. Not hard just a pain on a tall rig, and it is helpfull to have a chop saw of your own. The keyed bolts to prevent theft have a hex pattern, which can be located at any hardware store. Hence, the item is not so theft resistant than thought. Otherwise I thought it an excelent purchase and would buy another one for another vehicle. |
