this is the 2nd borla universal-style muffler ive purchased. the first was a Pro XS 2.25 offset/center on a 1.8L I4 car. this muffler is the same size as that one, yet it is still manages to keep things quiet (stock headers and cat). you can tell theres an exhaust on the car, but it does NOT call attention to itself, nor set off car alarms. if you want to squeeze the most power from an upgraded exhaust w/o waking up the neighborhood, GET THIS!

I installed this muffler (Borla #40952) on my Lotus Europa with a twin cam 1600cc motor, headers, cams, etc. It is 100% SS and is lighter than the turbo muffler it replaces. It is louder, and you can actually see through the tube. The noise is very tolerable below 3500rpm, and it seems to peak between 4500 to 5000 rpm. It is made of 304 SS, so it is weldable and machinable. I was able to weld it to my SS headers with 308SS Mig wire. Good luck.....
