fuel pump doesn't last

I installed this pump along with my conversion kit. I've put about 700 miles and my truck and it started running bad. After checking everything it ended up being the pump. I don't know wether the heat here in Phoenix would have an affect on the pump or not. But, At $100.00 or more this starts to be a real pain in the @**. After 2,I decided to go with a Holley instead.
