Description
The Super-Mag IV system is designed exclusively for engines burning nitromethane, or methanol/alcohol based racing fuel in motorsports applications where a magneto ignition system is used. This system puts out 4.0-4.3 amps from the generator which results in 58-64 milliamps of spark plug current. It uses Neodymium-Iron-Boron (Nd-Fe-B; rare Earth element) magnets that stay fully magnetized. This is a major improvement over other magnetos which suffer from the problem of when the magnet loses magnetism, the magneto outputs drops off. This consistent power level allows the racer to tune his car easier. This ignition system is designed and built for racing purposes only!
