Installation
Designed for the Shade-Tree or Do-It-Yourself mechanic. All necessary components for this MPI conversion are included with the exception of the fuel pump (sold separately) because applications vary. These systems utilize the stock computer and throttle body (less injectors) for a simple effective conversion. Installed height is no taller than stock. A good set of tools is required and install times range from 6 to 10 hours depending on experience and available resources.

Calibrated for the GM Vortec factory replacement engine, these multi-point fuel injection systems deliver outstanding performance in 1987-1992 trucks originally equipped with Throttle Body Injection. Get a GM #12530282 long block, install it in a truck with an Edelbrock EFI system, and enjoy modern performance without buying new. In dyno tests, this system delivered 265 hp at 4500 RPM and 340 ft/lbs. of torque at 3500 RPM. Performer Multi-Point EFI Systems greatly increase torque and horsepower throughout the RPM range. They use the stock air valve and computer for a cost-effective conversion.
