Right off the back I could feel the difference in Horsepower. The verdict is still out on gas mileage increase as I havent refueled yet to calculate it, but from observing the gas gauge, its not dropping as fast as it was. Glad i made this purchase. Installation was very simple.

I installed this on a 1998 F-150 4.2L V6. A bracket that uses one of the existing A/C mounting bolts had to be drilled out so the bolt would fit. I though the instructions were OK, But, the illustrations could have been larger.
Dont see any increase in gas mileage but the acceleration is better

the k & n intake kit works very well for me it does what it said it would do it was a very simple instulation following the instructions that came with it i have a very noticealbe increase in low end power i do a lot of driving in mountain area it increased my horsepower to pull the mountains i am well satisfied

WOW,WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I APPLIED THE FIPK II ON MY 2000 FORD F-150 AND NOW IT'S REALLY GOT SOME GET-UP WHEN I FLOOR IT. I DON'T RECOMMENED DOING THAT TOO OFTEN THOUGH WITH THE GAS PRICES BEING SKY HIGH! GREAT ADD-ON.

Noticed an improved increase in throttle response and sound when foot is engaged, you can definately tell the engine is breathing easier. The only mark down is for installation ease. I made some minor modifications for better fitament.

Got a 2001 4.2 f150. Put this system on it really rocks. I had dual exhaust before i put this on. The intake changed the sound of my exhaust. Gas went from 11 to 16 city. Throttle response went up greatly. Also got a 10%hp gain if you believe or not. and a great throaty sound under the hood. intakes are the best way to get mpg, hp, throttle gain. I brought one k&n fipk and never brought anything else. They're the best.
