Tech Notes
A starter that is capable of at least 160 RPM of cranking speed is required for this magneto to generate enough ignition output to start the engine. Always use a bronze distributor gear with steel billet or roller camshafts.
Description
The SprintMag Magneto Ignition Systems are designed for Sprint Cars, Midgets, Modifieds, Supermodifieds, Drag Racing and other motorsports applications where a magneto ignition system is used in injected, turbocharged or normally aspirated high performance and racing engines that operate at 3000 RPM and higher. These magneto ignition systems put out 2.3 amps form the generator and 28-30 milliamps of spark plug current which results in longer spark duration than most other magneto ignition systems available. They also incorporate Mallory's proven race winning cam and breaker point assemblies.
