This Pulley kit is easy to install, but the need for a shorter belt needs to be in a little bolder print where it is easier to see, rather than having to hunt to find it after the pulleys are installed. But other than that, I would have to say they are worth the money and time. And they give your engine compartment a great look. Thanks BBK.
I installed these pullies on my 91 S-10 which was not too hard. The only serious problem I have is the pulley for the alternator is larger and should be smaller. The problem is corrected by reinstalling the original pulley on the alternator, which defeats the purpose of having a new pulley in the kit. My advice is to buy one of the other pullies offered on this site.
PCW - The alternator pulley is larger to reduce parasitic power loss from the alternator. This is certainly not recommended in applications with high powered stereos or other electronics, but should be fine on most applications.
Took me 15 minutes to install them. They look GREAT! And I noticed a significant improvement in power right away. I also noticed a little bit better gas mileage. An exceptional vale in the "bang-for-the-buck" category. I highly reccomend them.
I installed the pulley set in about 30 minutes and have been fighting problems ever since. I've done two water pumps and an alternator. I've received nothing but a headache from this product whether it be an undercharging electrical problem to a severe cooling problem. I would recommend these pulleys for their performance for the money but not for a vehicle that is going to be driven everyday.
Product is great. Needed a 91 1/2" belt for my 94 Chevy S10 w/ air-conditioning that was not specified in the ad, but all in all they're great.
Easy installaation is a plus. I had it installed within 45 minutes taking my time. Increased horsepower and torque as advertised and looks good too!
