Installation
Lowering kit installation is not terribly difficult. Remove the old shocks, springs, spindles, shackles, or other components and replace them with the new ones. That's it. (Don't forget to have a first class wheel alignment done when you are finished.) However, what will be required by the do-it-yourselfer is time and strength. The parts can be heavy. The procedures are sometimes awkward and require special tools. And the fasteners (nuts and bolts) may be very tight. Also, as with installing any new suspension component, you will typically find related parts that are worn and need replacing (i.e. tie-rod ends). To do a good job, be prepared to take your time, so while you are there, you can give the entire suspension/chassis a once over.

If you wanted to get a lowered meaner look to your truck then this kit is for you. I bought this kit myself and i love it. It give me better handeling and better ride. Everything needed is in the kit. I'm lovin it.

I am very pleased with the looks of my truck (02 XL Sport 4.2L). Fairly easy install and rides like a dream. I made my truck look exactly like a Lightning and this kit is perfect for the low aggresive look while not bein slammed. Unfortunatly someone pulled out in front of me and totalled my truck. I pulled the kit off of it and am planning on installing it again very soon

The BellTech lowering kit with the Nitro-Active shocks is awesome! The ride is taut and controlled, but not overly stiff or harsh by any means. It absorbs bumps and road irregularities very well. Nose dive during braking is non-existent except slightly during hard braking, which is to be expected. My F-150 XLT Sport Supercab now handles very well and I've had sports cars in the past. The ride height is perfect as well - exactly where I wanted the fender well to be, which is about an inch above the top of the tire.

This lowering kit made my truck look more agressive, and handle better, while also giving me a ride that is to die for. Most people don't believe that they are riding in a truck by how it handles and feels. It definitely gave my truck the look I was going for, while not being too low to tow, or worry about scraping. I am definitely a major fan of this product!
