AEM engineering team performed extensive dynamometer testing during the development phase to ensure that each Brute Force intake produces more torque and horsepower than the competition. To ensure that each system produces not just peak torque and power, but useable torque and power at both light and full throttle, AEM performs three-axis testing to quantify gains made at different throttle positions. This ensures that Brute Force intakes make the most power at EVERY throttle angle across the RPM band.

Replaced my OEM air intake system with the Brute Force -- 2003 Chev. 8.1 liter engine. Instructions were detailed and accurate -- 30 minute installation. This motor is now breathing freely for the first time! Noticeable difference in acceleration. No data yet on any mileage gain, but it is certain to be better. (Im a mechanical engineer by profession - specialized in I.C. engines, so I understand the workings of the engine and air/fuel system). I would recommend the AEM Brute to anyone (unless you dont like the added power and efficiency, or dont like the added throaty sound when you kick it in the butt. Takes me back to the days when I used to turn the lid upside down on the air cleaner!)
