I purchased the product and no one informed me that it will not work with the Ranger EDGE model due to a different pin set up in the plug. This product will only work for you if you have a 4 pin connector. It would have been more helpful if fasttrackautoparts.com or Jet would put a warning somewhere.
sound, mileage, and power
I compared this air flow sensor with the stock one and it doesnt have the column in the middle of it. On the truck, I immediately noticed more noise when accelerating, although it sounds really mean at full throttle. Strangely, it is a litttle quieter when cruising on the highway. Also, it has increased gas mileage slightly. (I also have K&Ns intake system, Tornados air insert(70mm), and a Gibson exhaust.)

Works great on my 99 3.0 ranger. worth the money. i installed it with a K&N FIPK gen II. AWESOME COMBO. truck is way peppier, mainly in 2nd and 3rd gear.
