good product, fairly easy to install, I just installed them on the front of my truck. eventually I will install them on the back. I am still in the break in period but I have noticed a difference already.

After 8 years, the facotry (Z71) shocks were shot. Wasnt sure what to replace them with, but wanted something heavy-duty since I tow a boat, and haul firewood frequently. Very happy with ride so far. Have not towed or hauled anything yet, but the ride itself is great. Just like new again !!

I first bought the KYB monotube but they were too bouncy since I have about 400-500 lbs. in my frontier at all times. Now Ive installed the monomax and wow, what a big difference. The ride is much stiffer and no bouncing or swaying. It handles much better. Theres no mistaking when I go over railroad tracks :)

I bought these shocks to replace my original Bilstein upgrade. The Bilsteins were well controlled with a good ride on smoother surfaces but the rear end would jump sideways if you were turning and hit spome RR tracks. On rough roads they lost control and the truck shook unbearably. At 80K they were awful.
These shocks did not disappoint, with firm control of body lean and transients. On rough surfaces the ride is firm but the truck doesnt shake apart like with the Bilsteins. Over tracks in a turn there is still a trace of sideways jump but with the heavy rear axle I imagine this is as good as it gets without severe ride compromise. Great product! Im sticking with KYB.

The shocks were semi easy to install, but on the front shocks the studs for the top mount were not machined right. The nut would only go on app the first 5 threads. I had to use a thread chaser on both front shocks then impact the nut on and off. Also had to use vice grips to hold the top of the shock to keep get the nut on. Seems to ride find.

The ride of my 99 Tahoe has changed for the better, from the feel of a tug boat going down the road to a sharper ride. I have yet to replace the rear shocks so I know that is what is still missing to stiffen up the ride.

Vehicle: 2002 CHEVY/GMC TRUCK Avalanche 2500
I live in southeastern montana, we still have hundreds of miles of unpaved roads in this part of the country. I own a 2002 3/4 ton chevy p/u and I max out on the gvw almost daily with gooseneck trailers. The ride while empty isnt too bad either for as well as they are handling weight. I bought front and rear shocks roughly a month ago. I already have about 1,500 miles on them and they are still doing well.
